2) Jar tops = Cookie Cutters This doesn't work if you want heart-shaped or giraffe-shaped cookie. But for all of your shortbread/whoopie pie/biscuit cutting needs, a large, round jar top does the trick.
3) Convection Oven = Oven I always have a tub of some sort of cookie dough in my fridge. If I bake a dozen, I'm going to eat a dozen. The convection oven is perfect for when I want to bake a singular cookie (why waste all that energy heating up the real one when I only need to bake one cookie?). I am also always doing weird little baking experiments (popcorn chocolate chip cookies anyone?). The convection oven is the perfect place to shove projects that don't deserve the full commitment of preheating the oven.

5) Vinegar + milk = buttermilk I love buttermilk pancakes and buttery buttermilk biscuits. I mean... something that starts with the word "butter" has to be awesome am I right?! What I don't love is getting all hyped for an impromptu stack of buttermilk pancakes, and then having to walk to the store just for a little jug of buttermilk. To avoid this ordeal, I just add 1 Tbs. white vinegar to every 1 cup milk I need and let the mixture stand for about five minutes or so. Magically, it becomes the perfect buttermilk substitute.
